Shimmy has produced and directed a new web series called 'Bow Street Meets' featuring interviews with top actors, agents, casting directors and filmmakers including Richard E. Grant, Aidan Gillen, Margery Simkin and Jack Reynor.
Shimmy has completed the documentary 'Holocaust Survivors Living in Ireland'. Commissioned by the Holocaust Educatinal Trust, the 40 minute film tells the story of 5 Holocaust Survivors and how their eneded up living in Ireland.
Hannah Cohen recently tied for 1st place at the Memphis Jewish Film Festival, and won 3rd place at the Athens Jewish Film Festival.
Shimmy cast in new Jim Sheridan film
Shimmy has completed filming scenes on the new Jim Sheridan film 'The Secret Scripture'. Playing an evil psychiatric doctor in scenes with Rooney Mara and Theo James, he was cast along with 20 other Bow Street actors.
Film Ireland have just released the latest in their 'In Conversation' series. Recorded back in February 2014, this months interview features an in depth discussion with Shimmy covering a multitude of subjects.
The Factory has reopened under a new name, location, and management. Now housed in the stunning Jameson Building in Smithfield and operating under the new name of Bow Street, this exciting new venture is the brainchild of Shimmy, Maureen Hughes, and Paul O'Connor. Home to the Programme for Screen Acting which is overseen by acting coach Gerry Grennell, this new move see's Marcus make a further commitment to film training and development of new screen acting talent.
Hannah Cohen has just picked up it's 5th Award in 3 weeks, winning Best Short Film at the Washington Jewsh Film Festival. Other victories include Door County Short Film Festival, Chicago Irish Film Festival, CineGael Montreal, and a finalist in the Robinson's International Short Film Competition.
Rhinos screening on RTE
Rhinos will be screening on RTE TWO on Monday March 3rd at 12.15am as part of the Shortscreen series.
President launches Barretstown Video
President Michael D. Higgins launched a new Music Promo direced by Shimmy at Barretstown marking International Childhood Cancer Day. The song 'Dream Baby Dream' is performed by former camper Joyce Murphy with The Christ Church Cathedral Girls Choir, and was posted at Windmill Lane
Editing has begun at TV3 on 'A Disconnected Rhythm'. This fly-on-the-wall doc follows composer Ian Wilson and poet Leontia Flynn as they observe treatment of Parkinson's Patients in Tallaght Hospital from which they will create a new work to be performed at the hospital.
Hannah Cohen wins in Waterford
'Hannah Cohen's Holy Communion' has won Best Short Film at the Waterford Film Festival.
'Rhinos' has won the Prix du Public (the audience award for best film) at the 27th European Short Film Festival at Brest, and the Audience Award for Best International Short Film at the Cork Film Festival.
New Republic of Loose Promo
'They Pay For Love' is a new Promo directed by Shimmy for Republic of Loose.
Shimmy will be directing the live webcast of the latest Inspirations in Aid of Barretstown Concert live fromThe Olympia. Guests on the night include Sinead O'Connor, An Emotional Fish, Something Happens, and Republic of Loose.
Shimmy will be shooting three live acoustic performances featuring Snow Patrol, Lisa Hannigan, and James Vincent McMorrow for Meteor at The Button Factory. These intimate concerts are part of Meteors promotion of the upcomming Meteor Choice Music Awards next year.
Shooting has begun on Rhinos, a new short film written and directed by Shimmy. The 2 day shoot is taking place at a variety of locations around Dublin like St. Stephens Green and Dublin Zoo. The film stars Fionn Walton and Aylin Tezel.

'Soulboy' will have it's American Premiere at The Craic Film Festival in New York.
